Aspiring Communities
An Aspiring California Main Street Community is a community that meets the following criteria:
- Follows the Main Street Four-Point Approach® to Downtown Revitalization and the eight guiding principles to success
- Has the following active committees in their organization: Design, Economic Restructuring, Promotion and Organization
- Maintains annual membership in the National Main Street Network
- Maintains annual membership in CAMSA ($250 annual membership fee)
- Actively attends CAMSA network meetings, workshops or substitute education
- Is working toward, and is planning to become a Designated California Main Street Community by successfully completing the certification process within three to four years after joining the program
