Redding Certification, August 2006
Redding's Viva Downtown Organization has been the leader of the revitalization effort in the core of the city. This month Redding became the first city since 2002 to be officially certified as a California Main Street Community.
Pictured below is Wayne Donaldson, Office of Historic Preservation,
California State Parks, conferring the proclamation on the City with
Mayor Ken Murray and Keli Anthis.
Many of the officers of CAMSA were present for this wonderful
occasion and celebration at Marketfest 2006 with thousands of on
Redding's citizenry attending the event.
The work of the OHP and CAMSA have continued to work together for
the past three years getting the guidelines and program in place to
achieve a new certification program for Main Street in California.
